.gif){kind=small} BavariaCars Motorsport was established in 1978. The company specialises in the performance tuning of BMWs and also carries out general motorsport preparation. BavariaCars has quite a long connection with taking part in motorsport .The company founder Herbert Gattermeier started racing back in the 1960s competing in modified production cars at circuit and hillclimb events in Austria, Germany and Italy. BavariaCars has been involved in the design, development and racing of its own BMW race cars since the 1980s. The workshop has also built, prepared and developed customer cars for circuit racing, drag racing and tarmac rally competitions. The workshop is operated by Herbert and Erik Gattermeier who are both active competitors in local motorsport events. .jpg){kind=small} Bavariacars Motorsport wurde 1978 gegründet und ist die erste Adresse fuer BMW Tuning und Modifikationen in Sydney. Bavariacars hat eine jahrelange Erfahrung im Motorsport. Der Firmengründer, Herbert Gattermeier, begann seine Motorsportaktivitäten 1960 auf zwei und 1963 auf vier Rädern mit eigenpräparierten Fahrzeugen im Bereich Eisrennen, Bergrennen und Rundstreckenrennen in Österreich, Deutschland und Italien. Bavariacars ist seit 1980 mit BMW-Eigenkonstruktionen im australischen Motorsport aktiv. Ebenso hat Bavariacars für Kunden diverse Fahrzeuge für Rundstreckenrennen, 1/4 Mile Dragracing und für Rallyes (Targa Tasmania) entwickelt und gebaut. Der Betrieb wird von Herbert und seinem Sohn Erik geführt. Beide sind im lokalen Motorsport aktiv.  |
